  Tuesday 20th June 2023 Lo;To identify the features on a magazine front cover and to explore genre codes and conventions categories The genre that i picked was animal magazines. .all animal magazine's have a similar bright colour scheme that uses many of reds oranges and greens .They also have the pet that the magazine about as the main image Subgenre music subgenres .metal .hip hop .alternative .punk .pop .rock .reggae .electronic .classical .jazz here are some images of metal magazine's I think they use dark colours and harsh looking fonts to give the sub genre a distinct personality 1.The subgenre I chose was guitar magazines 2.covers are above 3.the colour palettes of my magazine covers are mostly black, white and red 4. the main images of my covers are usually newly released guitars or other music gear 5. the typography of my covers have fonts that are a mix of sans and sans serif since the logos of the magazine are in sans serif whereas the actual content of the magazine...

  Thursday 15th June 2023 Lo:To identify the features on a magazine front cover to explore genre codes and conventions Masthead It is the title of the comic and is at the top of the page Dateline it is the number of the issue of the comic and the date, it is found at the top right of the design main image The main image is the picture of the person or thing featured in the comic and it takes up most of the space in the page. cover lines Cover lines are the sentences that cover over the main image to show what the contents of the magazine will be it is usually on the left or right centre of the comic design  Bar code The bar code is what gets scanned so the magazine can be bought it can be found near the dateline. or at the bottom Tagline/Strap line The tagline is the piece of writing underneath the main title  and is found at the top of the page underneath the title/masthead Pull Quote A pull quote is a quotation by a person featured in the magazine that can hook readers ...
