  20th september tuesday 2022 to analyse texts using correct terminology Today for media studies we are looking at denotations and connotations Denotations are the obvious literal things shown on the piece of media Connotations are the underlying meanings and metaphors.  The denotations of this piece of media is that of a pale woman with a moth covering her mouth. However you can theorise of  the connotations of this like the woman is pale because she is dead and the moth covering her mouth is eating her. Her eyes could be red to symbolise the blood that she has seen? or her own blood? and the darkness around could symbolise her being dead.

Changing film genre

13th December 2022 Tuesday lo: Changing film genre The film i'm changing genre for is "Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory" and i'm turning it into a horror film. Location: Assuming were going of the most popular film version "The film released in 1971" I would change the setting to be more like the original book and make the town Charlie grows up in to be a poor slum instead of the more fantasy like houses in the original movie.  Characters: For the characters i would keep them relatively the same to really add a sense of fear to the movie for these normal children to be attacked like this. Storyline: For the storyline I would i would change the golden ticket troupe to instead have Willy Wonka kidnap these children for him to tortue and test on.
