lo: Changing film genre

The film i'm changing genre for is "Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory" and i'm turning it into a horror film.

Location:

Assuming were going of the most popular film version "The film released in 1971" I would change the setting to be more like the original book and make the town Charlie grows up in to be a poor slum instead of the more fantasy like houses in the original movie. 

Characters:

For the characters i would keep them relatively the same to really add a sense of fear to the movie for these normal children to be attacked like this.

Storyline:

For the storyline I would i would change the golden ticket troupe to instead have Willy Wonka kidnap these children for him to tortue and test on. In this movie the oompa loompas aren't some made up type of human but instead Children that were "tested" on. The movie starts following all of the children's POV's until they are kidnapped were they have too escape the long abandoned factory whilst stopping Willy WOnka from capturing them. I think this movie would end with a half happy half sad ending as one of the childrens gets killed but the others escape and Willy wonka is arrested.

Lighting:

For the lighting of this movie I would keep it very dim and use mainly yellow artificial lighting to really give it a dark gritty setting.

Sound and Music:

For the music I would incorporate diegetic sounds into it such as water dropping from pipes or the whirring and heaving of heavy machinery. I would probably also incorporate a more classical or orchestral sound.

Costume hair and makeup:

For Costume I would use blank cheap clothing for the oompa loompas, a bloodstained suit for willy wonka and basic childrens clothes for the kids. I won't use much use of hair and makeup so then the movie would have a more natural feel, however i would use it to simulate injury's for the oompas loompas.
